In the Shape of a Square

A performance of contemporary works for flutes and strings.

In the Shape of a Square invites listeners to Melbourne Fringe Festival pop-up venue, Emerald City, for a one night-only performance of contemporary instrumental duos that explore contemplation, spirituality and gesture.

Experience a rare performance of dynamic compositions by Philip Glass, Toru Takemitsu and Sofia Gubaidulina. Evocative and unconventional, In the Shape of a Square will take its audience on a journey where rhythm and sound manifest in celestial colours and kaleidoscopic patterns.
